2008

March 11, 2008

Hi guys, can't wait to see everybody in London. Looking forward to being reunited with my Torchwood pals. Hopefully we won't be swimming through puddles this time. Looking for a good break - been working really hard. - James

March 6, 2008 - Message from Steve on behalf of James

James tells me that everything is going well on the Dragonball set. He's very excited about how everything is going along and the general feeling that things are clicking really well. He will wrap mid-March and continue on his busy schedule. He just signed up to do two more episodes of Smallville in April, which was just picked up for another season on the CW. Prior to doing Smallville he performs his concert at the San Diego Indie Music Fest on March 29th and in between Smallville's he will appear at Grand Slam in Burbank. Then it's off to London for almost 2 weeks of concerts and appearances. He sounds really great and appreciates all the support that he's been getting from everyone. Lastly, he is planning on attending the Paley Center tribute to Buffy on March 20th here in LA. - Steve

February 14, 2008 From Steve Himber

In the absence of a very hard working Mr. Marsters, I thought I would carry on the tradition and give a shout out to everyone and wish you all a Happy Valentines Day. James has told me that everything is going really well on the Dragonball set and that he's feeling great about his work and the work his fellow actors are doing. It's a pretty intense shoot for him because it not only requires him to engage his acting skills but is also a rather physical role. He sounds really happy. We've planned a number of concerts and conventions that have already been announced and I know James is looking forward to those and seeing everyone who can make it as well. The writer's strike is over! So I'm happy too.

The winter festival has always been about hope in the face of oncoming winter and the possibility of death. I think this would be a good year to gather your loved ones around, make them something or buy them something, wrap it beautifully and have a good day with them. If you don't have somebody then get a little green tree, buy yourself a little something or see a good movie and love yourself. You never know, guys - this next year might be historically wonderful and the beginning of everything good. Wishing you all a happy winter festival. Love, James

Great seeing everyone at the album launch. You guys rock! I was super nervous about my broken finger but everyone made it okay and supported 'Karaoke' James on stage! Thank you Ryan for saving my ass. I know we were a little off on the timing of the photos and autographs but I really enjoyed spending some time with each of you. It was great not being rushed. Steve tells me that a lot of you are concerned about my finger and I promise I'll be good and get it taken care of. Next stop Cardiff!! - James

October 11, 2007

I can't wait for you guys to hear the new music. I feel like I've joined a band and they're really good! I can't wait to see your faces. I'm practicing on my guitar daily so when we see each other you'll be happy. My fingers are sore, but it's fun. - James

September 6, 2007

Hey everybody, good to see old faces and new at Dragon Con. What a crazy gig that was - in a good way. Got back and am super busy; looks like the end of this year will be a good one. Lots of work! Getting into the recording studio this coming week to work on the new album and I hope to have it out by the end of the year. I'm really excited about the new songs - I think it will be some of my best work yet. See some of you in October and November at the concerts. - James

August 5, 2007

Thanks to all you wizards and princesses. England was a hoot. You are a devious bunch, but very kind. I'm back to California to work off the Murphy's and chocolate that you were so kind to provide. The last two weeks have been the highlight of my year; you have given me the courage to get back into the studio and finally record my second album. Finally a special thanks to Claudia, who won the charity auction at Rich Mix, and Susan, who also donated generously to the Terrence Higgins Trust. - James Wesley Marsters

February 14, 2007

Happy Valentines Day to all you lovers and loveless - give yourself love; that's always the best. - James

January 10, 2007

I saw some of you in New York. I had a great time there - made good friends, worked a little bit and enjoyed the city. I couldn't have hoped for a better experience on the film P.S. I Love You. If I survive the editing process, I should have a juicy little role. Happy New Year to everybody. New Year's is a good time for new beginnings and I think we need that right now. - James

July 16, 2006

Hey everybody. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you that can make it to the Queen Mary event. I'm really excited about all the great guests, I hope you are too. I think the play we're performing extracts from will really kick ass and that you'll really like it. I can't wait to see everyone dressed up - I'm dusting off my tux! I'm auditioning a fair amount and hopefully will have something to announce soon. - James

May 19, 2006

Looking forward to seeing everybody again and meeting new friends in Long Beach. I hope we'll have a full house - I want to show you all off to the other guests joining me. I'm dusting off my tuxedo and getting into shape. I have many new songs to share.
Thanks to everyone who tuned into Smallville. You made me look really good with the network. I know they didn't use me that much, but I did have a good time. I can't wait to see what you all think of Shadow Puppets, which is due out around Halloween. Michael Winnick, Tony Todd, and I will share all the behind the scenes secrets at the Queen Mary. - James

February 15, 2006

Happy Valentine's Day! I miss you guys. I miss making noise and music together. I've been busy trying to get a job so you can see me every week. Things are going well - having fun. Wish me luck. - James

January 20, 2006

Hello. I'm well rested from the holidays and have been hitting the gym like a mad man. I have to be in shape for pilot season. I'm wrapping up the last of my episodes for Smallville and I'm feeling good about 2006. Thank you to everyone for all your cards and gifts. I don't get a chance to thank you individually but I want you to know that I get them all and really appreciate it. Steve tells me that you want to know about the next US concerts or conventions and I just don't know yet. I don't want to set any dates and then have to cancel them because of work. Steve will keep everyone posted if we can do anything. I'll also try to have them post messages like this more often. Rock on! - James

November 23, 2005

Hey everybody I just wanted to wish all my American fans a very happy Thanksgiving. I know that I have lots to be thankful for and hope you all do too. As we head into the end of the year I want to wish everyone a rockin' holiday season. I know that I'm going to catch up on lots of missed sleep and spend time with the kids and get ready to kick ass again in 2006. Steve's looking ahead at possible convention and concert dates and will keep everyone posted, but for now it's really busy on the acting front. Filming Shadow Puppets went really well. I have a good feeling about it. Everyone was great to work with. I wrecked my neck on the last day of filming, but that comes with the territory. Be well. James

November 2, 2005

Hey everybody - I had a great time in London. As usual, the London audiences were great. Steve tells me that the feedback has been great and that I turned some of you on to Shakespeare for the first time. Special thanks to my co-star Cheryl Puente for the excellent job she did as Lady Macbeth. As many of you may have already heard, I started today on the feature film Shadow Puppets. It is a great script and I really like the director. I'll keep you all posted as it goes along. James

September 23, 2005

Hey everyone- I'm working hard up here on Smallville. I am watching the news like everyone else about Rita and hope and pray that only minimal damage will be sustained. Now is the time for all of us to look out after our fellow man, so be kind to one another and remember that every small gesture does make a difference. Everyone be safe and well. - James

September 15, 2005

Hey everybody. Once again I am blown away by my fans. In light of the horrible devastation in the Gulf Coast you guys have done some amazing things! I've gotten e-mails describing unbelievable acts of generosity for total strangers but our fellow human beings affected by this tragedy. I'm truly honored by those acts done in my honor Thank you for such a privilege!! Onto the trivial work on Smallville is going great! I think I really found the character and I have some great stuff coming up. Congratulations to David Boreanaz, I understand that his show premiered really well. Take care and be well. - James

August 30, 2005

Wow! What a f@#king amazing weekend in Toronto. You guys rock! I think it was the best convention weekend I've had in a long time. Thank you to everyone who gave me cards and gifts and good wishes my bags were overflowing. My son and niece will also love some of these gifts. I told Steve to explore what we can do next year. He just shot me a look and told me to give him a second to catch his breath! I'll see some of you in London in October. - James

August 25, 2005

Hey everybody - I had a really nice birthday and I cannot possibly thank each and everyone of you that sent me a card or gift or donation. You guys rock! Things are going really well on Smallville - I'm really finding the character. Getting ready to head off to Toronto, it should be a great weekend. Then back to work on Smallville. I just have to say that I am the luckiest guy to have all of you supporting me. Peace. - James

August 7, 2005

Hey everybody - I had a great time with everyone who attended the Melbourne con. It was amazingly well run and I think everyone had a great time with David Fury, Tony Head and I. The concert was a 1000 times better I really didn't want it to suck. I'm off to Sacramento for the weekend for the Alternate Universe con. Summer seems to be going by so quickly, soon I'll head off to the Toronto con and then the UK. Good things are happening Steve says we'll be able to spill the beans soon (promise!) - James

June 10, 2005

Wow, it looks like Toronto is going to be one hell of a party! Steve tells me that the tickets are going like crazy right on! I know I'm going to have to rock the house because it will be a while before I can commit to another convention like this. I'm hoping that the acting will keep us connected you guys have been so supportive and complimentary, I know I can do it again. I will also keep the music alive. Rehearsals for the London gig are frustrating but good it should be a cool, different show. Lots going on. See you all soon. - James

June 6, 2005

Hey everybody! Just back from the Detroit concert it was great to connect with everyone there. I think my music sucked a little bit, but I tried to make up for it with a lot of conversation with everyone. It didn't help that my A string broke mid-concert but that's live performance for you. I promise much better for future events. I'm excited about the upcoming cons the response from you guys has been amazing. These will be the last cons I'll do for a while I need to focus on the acting and am working on writing some new material for the next album. Keep rocking! - James

May 13, 2005

Hi everyone - Recuperating nicely from a kick ass, amazing UK tour. Thanks to everyone who was able to make it such an awesome experience. I was a little nervous about being out there on my own but everyone really gave me the courage and feedback to know it was the right thing. For those of you who don't know about it, check out jamesmarsterslive.com which is the UK site and check out some really cool photos from the tour. I had minor knee surgery when I got back and it went really well. I'll be back on my feet immediately and ready to rock on! - James

April 14, 2005

Hey Everybody - I had a great time with everyone who went to the Houston, Vulkon convention. I want to thank everyone who came out that weekend. The feedback on the new CD has been amazing and I really feel good about it all. I'm packing and heading off to the UK for the Civilized Man concert tour. It should really rock! I've committed to as many conventions as I can this year and hopefully some of the locations will work out for everyone. It's a real rush to meet everyone. I hope to also plan a music tour in the U.S., as well as continue to pursue the acting. Till then - peace, love and rock on! - James

HALLOWEEN 2004 London
I met with the organizers of the London event this weekend and both David and I are really excited about what a rocking, kick-ass weekend we are going to have with the fans who can attend. We know that it may be too pricey for some, but those who will be there will be amazed at how cool this weekend will be. Lot's of new photos, great give away gifts (one in every ten person will get a gift) and unusual never done before activities! The organizers are really working hard to guarantee that each and every fan will walk away feeling great which is really important to David and I. For those of you who can't make it this year, I hope to do it again next year. See you all soon in London James

September 7, 2004

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Vulkon event in Oakland. I had an awesome weekend and I hope that you all did too. It's very cool to look up and see some many familiar faces. I appreciate all your support and enthusiasm for something that quite frankly I do out of love which is acting. To be able to act and have it so appreciated makes me one of the luckiest guys ever. I hope to be announcing future appearances for 2005 sometime in the next month or so. Until then, be well and rock on! - James

August 24, 2004

I had an awesome birthday and want to thank all of my fans who sent me so many good wishes and gifts (you shouldn't have!). I think this is going to be an amazing year and all your love and support certainly is the best way to start it. You all rock! - James

August 24, 2004

To everyone at Support Spike, you all blow me away! Your continued support and enthusiasm and tenaciousness is unreal. You are the best "support" any actor could ask for. THANK YOU from the bottom of my soulless character :-)
- James aka Spike

August 4, 2004

Thank you to everyone for their early birthday wishes and gifts (not necessary!). Way too many to give a shout out to each and every one of you, but I appreciate all the good wishes and love and thank every one of you! - James

June 26, 2004

As many of you know I am off to Australia for a week to attend a con. It should be great to meet all the Australian fans (and those who have traveled from afar to be there). I'm enjoying reading everyone's letters and cannot thank everyone enough for all the support and love and hugs you keep sending my way. I'm doing great and really concentrating on Macbeth and other great acting possibilities. Lot's of catching up on sleep and exercising. I will write about my Australian experiences when I get back. - James

To everyone who watched the premiere episode of Angel
I just wanted to thank everyone who tuned in to watch the first episode of Angel. I know that the first episode was a bit of a tease, with Spike not arriving until the very last second, but I can promise you that in future episodes you'll be seeing a lot more of him. I'm having a great time continuing to bring Spike to life (no puns intended!) and just wanted to thank everyone for their loyalty and support. Watch the boards for future updates from me.
